Why rendering ability is -so- important

Why rendering ability is -so- important

I just have rendering on the mind lately... well, UV mapping and
rendering.

Anyway, looking around various forums, I came across this in the Silo
forum - and though the model itself is impressive, jump in a few pages
for the multipass and "mforge" renderings, done from within Electric
Image.

I think this clearly illustrates the value of both the things that can
be found in the strength of a program's rendering capabilities, as well
as having some good plugins ;)

BTW you may recognize the HDRI image, which people over in this thread
are pretty amazed with but it's old hat to us by now!

cheers
Andrew
