Re: Chilltrol Animation - Critique 2005-02-18 - By D.M.Jackson

Hi Izzy, I too thought the animation was smooth and well done; however, there is a font and atmosphere clash between the animated "Chilltrol" and the logo. I'd like to suggest another vision using similar techniques: You could model the actual "Chilltrol" logo in 3D and bring it all together using similar physics.
1) Drop the "Chilltrol" lettering into a warm sunny enviroment.
2) Do a quick freeze on your scene. (A beach scene or oasis or whatever turns into an icey scene)
3) The polar bear slides out into the scene and climbs up on top of the "Chilltrol" lettering assuming his natural position there in the logo...raising a cool glass of iced tea (or a cold beer} as the sun sinks in behind him.
Like a previous poster said, I hope these animations are for a cd or dvd presentation scince they may be too large for web usage, especially for those on dialup. I had no problem with the file, but I'm on a cable connection. Even so, I remember my frustration of waiting for files to load when I was on dialup.
