Hi Lee,
Given what you are doing with Carrara my two cents would be NOT to
upgrade. Get more RAM instead. The tools in C4 are indeed geared more
for animation. NOw if they Eovia said that C4 had a 4x faster
rendering speed then that would be a different story.
As for Amapi. The newer versions v.7 Designer and Pro is a totally new
animal then v.6. It is worth using, now here again for your needs you
could do well with just Amapi 7 designer and not the Pro version.
Lastly, for what you do can you get by with the modeling with Carrara?
Isn't there a third party pulgin made for Arch stuff? Just curious.
