Of course not. When you make a model out of cardboard/paper, the edges are always folded to fit to adjoining surfaces. If you take a piece of paper and fold the edges, it will be flat and with stright edges. Pepakura has to stick to that, otherwise it would not create a valid model, that can actually be constructed with paper/cardboard. For paper models, your object have to have very few polygons.
