PCI Express - Semantics

I am getting into a bit of semantics with a sales person at Monarch Computer
regarding PCI-Express and graphics cards.

The cards I am interested in are the nVidia Geforce 6800 Ultra and the
Radeon X800 XT.  The issue is that the sales guy is saying that  while both
cards support PCI-Express, they are not "available" in PCI-Express.

Does anybody know what the difference is?  Hey if the cards has 16 pixel
pipelines in its GPU, then I would say it is avialable in
PCI-Express.....but maybe I am missing something.

Can anyone help clarify the distinction (if any) between being available in
PCI-Express as oppossed to just supporting it?

Thanks,
