What do ya call the empty part of a door frame ?

What do ya call the empty part of a door frame ?

A door occupies a doorway and is surrounded by a door frame and maybe a
door sill. Perhaps "door way" doesn't sound right because the usage is
often simply "door" as in "come in or go out or just stand in the door,
with a girl on each arm and two standing before. Sure the more that I
have the more I adore. That's life with the lassies says Rory O'More".

We have a door frame, No door.
So the empty space where the door is not, Would be called what ?

Door way,Arch way. These just don't sound right, Guess they would do but
do not seem right.
So any mind readers out there know the name I am trying to think of ?

Thanks
