Back Hi, Instead of using a KVM switch, have you considered using something like Synergy?

It works great at letting you control two computers with just one mouse/keyboard. It makes your two computers act just like you have a single computer with dual screen capability and the focus switch is based off which screen you move the mouse to. hth :)
