Back I asked the same question when I read the original post. I do remember seeing how to set it up somewhere...maybe involving bookmarks...but I can't really see the use.
If you screw up...even a little...you might have to completely re-render entire shots. If you just do it all "in camera" you won't have any extra frames on the front or tail end of your shots with which to create transitions or fiddle with timing.
Then again, it does offer a nice way to quickly preview how your shots will work together via a playblast, so there are definately uses.
I'd take a quick look in the help docs for this one and see what you come up with. Let us know. -Best -Dru
