Back We missed the mark buy a bazillion miles. I don't know just how hard Rocket science really is, but after 3D wouldn't scare me. 3D made programming look easy as grade school algebra. Collage just could not offer up any challenge to touch 3D. TS already supports .tga, tif so if there required to pay royaltys then they all ready our. but seems like each 2D,3D App would just say we will support your format and you support our format and every one benefits.max is the only format I know of that will not cross. You would think that now that Caligari has a handle on layered Illustrator and EPS that what you are suggesting could actually be more feasible then not :) The only hindrance, even if the technology to support file formats is achieved, is that, unfortunately, many file formats require royalty payments and licensing to be used by commercial products and can infact be pretty expensive. I thought computers were supposed to make our lives easier? There are a bazillion file formats for graphics alone - so I think its safe to say we missed the mark there hehe :)
