Back Kool Glass. nGones is C4D Slang.C4D Does not support nGones. TS 6 supports open Meshes ts4 does not. I think of ts4 as a box modeler that supports nGones a open mesh would be a cube with one of the 6 sides removed. TS 6 is a better polygon modeler then ts4. So the future versions our getting better. I seldom use Boolean in any App. most the time Weld,Sweep,Splines will do what Boolean does but better. Ya could have modeled the Glass buy sweeping a cylinder or splines. when you load a cylinder with 16 sides.the top, bottom of the cylinder is a nGone and what you call a hole even thou you con not see threw it it's still a what you call a hole. so when you took a smaller cylinder and booleaned it from the larger cylinder. you booleaned what you call a hole. get a cylinder. sweep the ends that's nGones and weld all the points together,or tip the top, bottom of a cylinder. then there will be no what you call a hole. Boolean and all outer and inner dots should be connected with lines. any time ya Quad Divide,Triangulate and any part of the mesh is not effected that's what you call a hole and will cause you problems. Here we go, the final product, first empty: http://home.earthlink.net/~d3av3e/empty <http://home.earthlink.net/~d3av3e/empty> Glass2.jpg
and full: http://home.earthlink.net/~d3av3e/Glass2.jpg <http://home.earthlink.net/~d3av3e/Glass2.jpg>
There are some problems with the render that I didn't figure out (The diffraction's all messed up with the drink, making the straw look all weird... plus the shadows are conspicuously absent...) but you can see the glass well enough. Boy, that clouds procedural is ugly, huh? ^_^
