Back Distinct possibility. I've nevered tried to max out the scene with big textures before. One thing, I would personally not use a texture that big for anything but the background. I always saw it as a waste of time to use a 2k texture on a scene that was only rendered out to 1500x1200. Just a thought... Strange ... the texture that was giving me problems was only 4050 X 1479 (Heh heh ... yeah ONLY) ... :O) There are a lot of other large textures used in my scene, though. I wonder if there isn't some sort of maximum amount of memory allocated for textures in a scene. Is it possible that I've maxed out the allotted memory even though the individual textures aren't over the allowable resolution? The image / texture was rendering fine early on during the construction of my scene, but once the geometry got to somewhere over 150,000 polys, the texture wouldn't render anymore. Bill
