Ok - makes sense, but would you use it in combination with Automatic
mapping for polygons?

Try the triplanar projection method. This decides which axis to project
along based on which one the surface normal most closely aligns to. It
makes
it a snap to cover buildings with bricks and such.

hi all,
i was just wondering if there is a way to control texture maps with a
cubic
map such as in 3dsmax, that projects from 6 sides. With max's cubic uvw
mapping its super easy to map a lot of geometry for architectural
visualizations, something i find quite hard in maya.
