I hadn't looked, but that explains why they seem to behave oddly sometimes when brought into trueSpace.

I don't specifically make Poser objects (still haven't gotten the hierarchy/joint animation aspects to work). But my guess would be that it's just a function of what 3D program the mesh-maker is using, and whether the mesh is cleaned-up.
It *might* be that the meshes you buy (e.g., Michael and Victoria) have "cleaner" meshes, but that's just a guess on my part. OTOH it'd make sense that someone would work harder on a mesh they're selling rather than either "giving away" so to speak or providing as a stock item that's part of the basic program. Or it might be that the people who sell mashes (one is 3Daz I think...?) have to be good to make any $$ doing so and might make "cleaner" meshes?
Again, tho', I'm just guessing...
