ok. well I can't search for you right now as I'm travelling.
Maybe look at the "MODELING" section on each site.
If there's nothing specific to modeling a fishy maybe you can use a
search engine and
look for "Maya+Fish+Modeling"...
If that fails too you can either start sculpting a NURBS sphere with
Sculpt Surface tools,
buy a modeled fish to use or base your model on, patch model a fish
with a bunch of birails,
subD etc. I have a student doing a short with some fishes and she used
fishes from the De Espona collection to get started
(www.deespona.com $495 for a lot of models! you need 3DMax to export
them to Maya - try 3DCafe.com or turbosquid).
And if you do the basic tutorials that come with Maya (in the help
files and on the pdfs) and the Learning Maya Book tutorials
you should be in pretty good shape to model the fish of your creation.
Make sure you sketch views of your fish/character, it's suicidal to
start
modeling without reference.
