Silo or Carrara 2004-08-14 - By Joshua Foster
Back Silo and other modelling apps (like Amapi) are specifically targeting at modelling (duh). They have specific tools that allow you to create objects much faster. Theoretically, you could create the same object in Carrara, but when you get up to some really complicated models, specific modelling tools really speed things up. Things like better control over smoothing, symmetry, and ruled surfaces make these modellers better suited to complex modelling.
