Applying layers isn't intuitive in Carrara, sad to say,
but once you understand how it works, it's fairly
versatile.

If I understand what you are trying to do, Mayito7777,
maybe this explanation will help you accomplish your goal.
I put it together for you and everyone is welcome to grab
the Carrara 3 file along with the accompanying images
