Hey yes this is great indeed. They talk about changing the exposure,
with EV+0.5 or -1 etc, funny, exactly what I have on my cheapo HP
photosmart 635 camera, 2.1 megapixels, was a clearance sale at Target
for $80. Wowser. Must have been the greatest technology 2 years ago.
Now they're into 4,5,6 and more megapixels. But it's great to already
have the exposure correction here with this model.

While I'm on the subject of great hardware, I bought myself a 17-inch
flat screen LCD from LiquidVideo. Man that thing is bright. I
understand they're OEM custom made for Circuit City. Anyone else has
one, or info on them? They last long etc?  Sure was the brightest by
far and so cheap. Most other models around $400 - $500 US, this was
$399 plus a $70 rebate sale. They have them every 5-6 months or so.
Now they have a 19 inch model but I don't think it's that bright. I
needed a really bright one, and others stopped at 250 nits, or 300
tops. This one's rated at 370 nits!  Great for tradeshows and even
outdoors.

Anyone going to Siggraph? I hope to hang around there Wednesday.

One, back to the 16-color subject here:  Anyone tried Stoik's
Pictureman 5? I haven't, but I understand they have 16-bit color
support, and this might thus be a good tool for your HDRI needs too:

Feedback anyone?

-Philip
