Wondering something 2004-06-29 - By Randy COverdell

I seem to encounter this once in a while, and my only guess is that it has to
do with system performance, probably RAM. It's similar to problems I've
encountered with other programs. Most of the time adding more performance to a
system seems to cure this. After all, we are asking quite a bit from a
computer, especially when doing complicated work. While I can think of no true
fixes (if any one knows of any please let us know), the old computer addage
"save often" seems to apply.

I have a bit of a problem with shutting down Carrara when I've been
working with a large/complicated scene. I save it, then choose to exit
Carrara. At that time, the screen goes darker like it's about to go
away --- and that's all she wrote. I finally end up having to do the 3
finger salute to get it to shut down. I love my Carrara, but I WOULD
like it to "go away" when I want it to. *grin*
Anyone else run into this occasionally?
