cubic mapping 2003-12-02 - By Duncan Brinsmead
Back Try the triplanar projection method. This decides which axis to project along based on which one the surface normal most closely aligns to. It makes it a snap to cover buildings with bricks and such.

hi all, i was just wondering if there is a way to control texture maps with a cubic map such as in 3dsmax, that projects from 6 sides. With max's cubic uvw mapping its super easy to map a lot of geometry for architectural visualizations, something i find quite hard in maya. thank you, stefano
