My opinion is Expression is NOT used like Painter....
Painter and Expression are very different concepts by design and use:
Painter is bitmapped/pixel based and relies on brushing motions.
Yields "paintings"...think Photoshop for comparison.
Expression is vector/line based and uses bezier handles for adjusting
strokes that can have bitmapped/gradients applied to the vector lines.
Yields "illustrations"....think "Illustrator" for comparison.
