Yet another newbie question 2004-06-14 - By Luis Mederos
Back Folks, after playing around for a few months trying to get familiar with the concepts, I have a question before I start a "serious" project. Am hoping that some of you experienced users may have some suggestions. In particular, I am trying to model scenes with humans, ultimately with some animation (this is a long term, learning project...). In other parts of the scene, objects are fairly much discrete on their own, e.g., a table is "separate" on its own and its texture is pretty consistent. But how about modeling and setting up humans? I have looked at other models from other sources, particularly a very nice female model that a friend provided from Lightwave. I noticed that when I import it, it is a single object, although parts of the object will have different shaders. How would you go about it? one object? multiple objects (hair, head, arms, etc.)? thx -- Luis luis@(protected)
