TSML dying??! 2004-06-17 - By John Gaubatz
Back Two things I could attribute to the falling off of the TSML are the introduction of the online forums at Caligari and problems with users of the TSML. Back in the day, it was not uncommon to hear a person say they were leaving the list because of childish behavior of other users. By childish behaviors I mean things like arguing, name calling, and constant complaining about the tS product. I remember people saying they heard the TSML has cleaned up its act only to come back to the list to find the same problems that caused them to leave the first time. So they left again. Also, a lot of the earlier users may have developed their skills to the point where they either moved on to other software or don't feel the TSML serves their purpose any more. I have not seen the past problems rear their ugly heads lately, but the traffic has been somewhat slow lately. It used to be expected to receive about a hundred or so emails from the TSML a day, probably averaged 50 to 60 emails a day. In a sense, the TSML used to be a unique community. I suspect a lot of the people that used to post are still out there, lurking as I do. All it takes is for people to start asking questions. I've said it before; I don't care for the forums and probably never will. Will I visit the forums? Sure. But I prefer to post to the TSML since I don't have to access a web page at work to see answers to my questions. Long live the TSML.

I have been subscribed to it again for a while now and it is so quiet. What happened?
