Re: A tree export question... 2004-04-25 - By JBakerStudio
Back Everyone thought that it was and you guys here are a good bunch so I passed it along. It is pretty cool.
Can any of you remember... Will RDS 5(Mac) or, Infini-D 4.5(Mac), import ans well as export VRML? The check box in the tree editor works great, DXF as well as 3ds both produced leaves on export and import to Strata 3.9... In, VectorWorks 10.5.1, there are a VRML export option but not an import option in the File menu. I got to ask about that on the VectorWorks mailing list.
Massive polygons in the, DXF, (to be expected), but I have been waiting for half an hour with a dual 1ghz G4 maxed with ram to be able to select and group the leaves for texturing separate from the branches and trunk. Whhoo Hooo! :) I love it. All we ever wanted was a tree generator a few years ago... this is a cool software. I really like the way that, Carrara 3, and, Poser 5, are so closely matched and afford an artist the capability of utilizing "all" of the tools that one collects together to work with.
