Back Hi KC,
I almost forgot. You also have the option of doing what is called "flat mapping" which will map the entire image over one side of an object (the other sides can also be mapped as well). This is probably the best way to present your wood since it doesn't try to stretch it over the entire object.
I did some samples w/o tiling as well. The only thing different I did from the earlier images is that I created a separate black and white bitmap of the wood for the bump channel. I think that if you use a large enough swatch, this may be the best way to go.

The file section in this Yahoo Group is getting really full (I had to delete a lot from my own folder just to upload the images). If you send me your e-mail address by sending me a direct message (select either the hyperlink next to my screen name above, or when you select "reply", use the pull-down menu and select my address), then I can send you a zip with all the contents direcly to you.
I'm stepping out for a while now, so I should be able to send it to you later on this afternoon/evening.
Well, take care.
