Thanks for providing the link with your pics and sources. I took a stab at it with an area screengrab I pulled from one of your swatch images. Don't know if this is what you are looking for but I was able to get a wood pattern that did not repeat as much by using a lower (as well as odd-numbered; 5 and 7) HV tile settings. I also made sure seamless and interpolate were on:
