Mail washer will only confirm that there is a valid address when you
hit the "I'm Not Here" button.  It's supposed to be relatively easy to
figure out that it is mailwasher.  Now, that also assumes that they
*care* if there's a valid address there or not.  My experience is they
don't.

Any yahoo group will be harvested for email addresses, and summarily
sent spam.  If the list itself gets spam, it's up to the moderators to
take it out.  Considering what's made it here and not (working on the
basis of other groups that are *not* quite so moderated), they're
doing a good job.
