Need Help ASAP With VertexModeler Lathing.... 2004-04-10 - By ccoles_avengers
Back Okay, I've done this once or twice before but not often enough to remember how to do it. I know that it's been talked about before on the list so please excuse the repetitiveness, but could someone give me a quick step-by-step run down of how to do a Vertex Modeler Lathe with, as the manual states, "2) ...polygons and closed polylines as lathe profiles / 3) use any edge in a vertex object as the lathe axis"? I know how to do it with open polylines, but keep forgetting how to do the approach with the ctrl+alt+click (yellow vertex) and axis line approach. Unfortunately, this particular technique is not covered in the CS3 manual.
Thanks.
(PS - should we start creating an "animation and modeling solutions" database for topics like these for easier access? What do folks think?)
