Review by Computer Arts magazine 2004-04-07 - By Peter MacDougall
Back Typical, they take the approach that Carrara is trying to woo experienced Max, Maya and Lightwave users from their applications when in reality Carrara is aimed at people new to 3D who may not have the skill to make or do everything on their own. Their bias doesn't allow them to see how good Carrara is for what it is supposed to do: the scene wizard is not a walkthrough but a template sure , but how many appliations come with so much premade good content? And the Tree Editor has a simple interface for quick starts and an advanced interface like the Bryce Deep Texture Editor which does take effort to get good results from.
Really Carrara is all about providing power to new users and previous Carrara /Raydream/Infini-D users
