Libor,

No need to apologize.

Please check out Conversion Pack 2.1 which gives IGES, SAT and STL output
capability to tS.  More can be found here:

http://www.caligari.com/Products/trueSpace/ts5/Plugins/Caligari/ConversionPack
/cp21.asp?Cate=Caligari

I think STL is used for those 3D printers (that is they section the 3D
volume and using a laser, cure the top surface of an epoxy liquid in the
pattern of each section...as each layer is cured, the 3D volume is
"printed") and IGES and SAT is used for NC machines.

You can create far more complex shapes with a 3D printer than with a NC
machine...even shapes that could not be machined (blind holes, undercuts,
etc.).  I think it is also cheaper than NC. The only disadvantage to the 3D
printed shapes is that the cured epoxy shape will crack if handled too
roughly.

I hope that helps.

P.S. Any more work on the VeCAD plugin for tS?  Or rather, any English
language tutorials available on its use?
