Back Hi Mike,
I did a search on Google and found a couple of sites that gave upgrade prices for older Carrara Versions. I have only included a couple of links in my previous message, but you can find more on Google. I don't know if they offer special coupon offers, but I did see the standard upgrade rates that are found on the Eovia site.
The whole thing is that I hope you don't allow the poor communication habits of one or two customer service office workers taint your views about the Eovia company overall, as well as the product. I'd say that CS3 is worth another chance.
Perhaps you can also try Eovia North America and see if they can make a special exception in your case. All I know is that I have had positive experiences with their sales/customer service department, with Matt (an Eovia support staffer and member of this list) being a key factor in helping this come about.
I hope things will work out for you soon, however, perhaps it may be a good thing for you to hold off for right now, since CS4 will be coming out in the very near future. Hopefully by that time, any kinks would have been worked out at Eovia Europe and you can try again. Who knows.
Cheers.
