Hmm...  Unfortunately that's about what I figured.  Since my output
to digital video, the final image resolution is pretty much a fixed
target.  

If I can't manage to weak my Starbright settings in Carrara to get
rid of it, I may try something like a high resolution picture as a
compositing background in Final Cut Pro, and see if I can get better
results moving my starfield that way.  I'm not sure that'll work
either, since really it's a resolution problem and not a rendering
problem, but what the heck--I got time.
