Re: do we have too? 2004-03-31 - By ccoles_avengers
Back Hello Aureliano,
Although I understand your viewpoint, one reason why you may not be getting a response to your question is that those who have read your post thus far may not currently posses the expertise to answer it. And yes, it also may be due to your post being dwarfed by other posts such as the "OT-Opinions" one. However, this happens even when *there aren't* any OT posts circulating on the list, so this particular thread is not the sole culprit for lack of response to your inquiry.
My best advice is to repost your message and wait a little bit for a response. Also, you may want to contact Eric Winemiller directly since this plug-in is his "baby" and he would be the best resource for answering this question. ( http://digitalcarversguild.com )
Initially, I had concerns that the current OT post was taking up bandwidth and might incite a flame war. But so far, so good...I think we have all learned from our recent past experience on how to deal with topics like this. Also, I would not have learned about this particular Internet issue except for the posts on this list, which now, are challenging me to do more research on the matter.
So yes, this OT topic is taking up some bandwidth on the list, but from what I can see so far, it is more constructive than destructive. When it starts leaning towards the "destructive" category, then it would be time to cut it off. The nice thing about this particular post, however , is that the author has used the title "OT-Opinions", which can easily be set up to be automatically filtered into the "trash" folder in a person's e-mail software.
Hope you get the answer to yor Starbright question soon.
Cheers.
