Modelling in Carrara 3

Modelling in Carrara 3

When making models in Carrara do folks usually make them as one
piece models (For posing/animation) or as separate parts?

Just wanted to know what the norm is.

One thing I noticed in the demo is that if you stay in the vertex
modeller and add pieces to it (Separate pieces )then they show up as
one single vetex model (In the assembler room) which makes it
difficult to re-adjust certain parts or move them as you cannot
select these separate parts as a whole.
Also you then have seams between parts which is also not wanted for
most models. Is there a way to 'stitch' them together?

I know I should just wait till my copy arrives (Assuming that it
does as I still have had no email confirmation of my order. Perhaps
the transaction confirmation is all I get) but I like to be ready to
go and gather as much info as possible for any new app.

Cheers

Mike R
