stan: there is a new tutorial on alias's site about skin shaders, dont
know if it will help you...I think it was done mostly in photoshop.

OK,

I decided to keep working on the Old Diver image (most recent):
http://www.stansight.com/tmp/OldDiverIll9.jpg
<http://www.stansight.com/tmp/OldDiverIll9.jpg>

I redid the lighting, hair, and I think the eyes look more realistic
now.

I decided to stick with this until I could halfway decent skin, the skin
is too waxy looking in some places.  I need to simulate the subsurface
scattering translucency you see in real skin.

I'm thinking of playing with the translucent plastic shader, or possibly
creating a very thin translucent shell around the head.  Anyone else
have good recipe for skin? (not color, but reflection or bump)
