Photoshop alpha mask not great 2004-02-27 - By David Bell
Back Scot,
Is Photoshop set to antialias your mask edges? If so you will probably want to disable this. The other thing you can try is shrinking the selection area by 1 pixel.
I generally work with Tiffs. (I am a Carrara 3 person now but I did a lot of work with the alpha mask in 2 and it is quite reliable.
