This is incorrect,
The tiff format fully supports all of the G-buffer channels.
Each channel shows up as an additional mask. If you check all the G-
buffer channels and the alpha mask then render you will get a tiff
with R G B channels and 11 alpha channels that hold the G-buffer
information as an 8bit greyscale map.
