Re: Is There A Better Way To Do "Text Expand " Animation....? 2004-02-26 - By ccoles_avengers
Back Hello Doug,
Well, I checked it out. BTW, I used the align: space/hotpoint setting because I noticed that the letters were spreading in random order with the "sides" setting.
First of all, let me say that I like this approach. However, there is only one thing; the expand effect that I am currently working on spreads the letters from the *center* letter. The align method only seems to expand the letters from the right most letter and then, only spreads it from right to left along "x" (positive value), not in the other direction. It seems that a CS error message always occurs when I input a negative value, stating that only numbers between 0 and 10,000 can be used.
So unfortunately, this method won't be able to help me out with my immediate project. But I was able to fool around a bit with the align command and found out some other things that it could do so thanks for enlightening me about this feature. It will definitely come in handy with future projects :) .
Cheers.
