The only thing with Amapi, is that to get the latest version, you have to buy
it or upgrade
from version 5 that comes with Carrara 3.  So we really don't have modeling
tools with
Amapi without paying extra.

I don't want to have to keep buying and upgrading TWO programs.  Let's have
everything
we need in ONE, and some extra goodies with the plug-ins.

Also, if you have a MAC under OSX, you are definitely forced to upgrade to the
latest
version of Amapi, because the version that comes with C3 will not run on OSX.

Animation is a BIG BIG BIG weakness in C3.  Especially if you want to do
Character
Animation.   Modeling also has room for improvement.

C4 can be the opportunity to really make Carrara super solid and more powerful
than ever.
Not the C3 is not good, because it does ROCK!!!, but I believe we desperately
need these
improvements.
