You could do it in Carrara, by making one letter at a time, then
rotating each letter (and moving it) as needed. You could put a
temporary cylinder in the scene on it's side and lined up where you need
it, in order to give you a reference to align the text around.
I know that's the long way around, but if you don't have the ability to
create an .ai file, it might be the way to go.
