Re: Lighting 2004-02-23 - By pmiinalainen
Back The post render effects (most of the light effects) work so, that they first check whether something is blocking the view between camera and light. If it is, then it won't render the effect. This can obviously lead into many unwanted situations. E.g in animation the aappearance of the effect is too sudden, you can't create the effect through tranparent objects etc. Hope we will see improvements on these issues in the future, but meanwhile compositing is your best choice.

It's not a big deal really,... I can place it in front of the glass and get the same effect I suppose, I'm just wondering if I need to do something else to get it to go. > thanks > > -- --Original Message-- -- > From: David Bell [mailto:nordwind53@(protected)] > Sent: Friday, February 20, 2004 4:06 PM > To: Carrara@(protected) > Subject: Re: [Carrara] Lighting > > > What I do at this point is to remove all the effects, then crank the > light up to the max.
