Thanks for the suggestions...I am in process of getting a new XP
PC...but for now:
My Win98se renders to screen just fine every time and is stable
running CS3...but sometimes if I try to "save" a screen render I get
the CS error msg and it will not save the bitmap image to disk. Does
not crash either. So must re-render after "save to file" or reboot of
CS3...so mostly I start with a "save to filename:" before executing a
render.
