Ya,... I read that around page 217-ish in the manual,.. The thing is though
that I work on stuff at home and at work when i'm not busy and saving
internally is nice so I can just upload once to the ftp and work on the same
thing from either office or at home. This cuts down on confusion for me but I
guess I have to wait a few minutes extra to dl the files. Thank Gates for T-1
lines I guess. :/
I was just wondering if there were any ninja secrets to cutting down the file
size without compromising the ease of file saving..
Thanks for the reply
Steven

One of the quickest ways to inflate file size is to check the option
to save textures internally -- it appears in the dialog you get
whenever you save the file.  Any bitmaps that you're using to texture
the object become part of the file.  That's great if you want to
render the file on several different machines & don't want to hassle
with setting up folders or re-texturing the object each time.  But
the file size can instantly become huge.  I almost always leave the
textures external to the .car file.
