This sounds like a smart idea. And probably pretty simple to
implement. The only drawback is that if someone doesn't know to
right-click, and if they haven't read the manual thoroughly, they
might not find this important feature. But there are solutions: it
could be an "advanced" feature that's disabled by default. There could
be a "show/hide all tracks" button in the sequencer that lets you
enable this filter.

The fact is, though, there are so many excellent animation products on
the market, this seems like an area where innovative thinking is not
strictly necessary. There's a huge pool of good ideas for Eovia to
basically steal from. Maybe there's an even better solution to the
clutter in the sequencer (although your idea seems perfectly sensible
to me).
