Re: Importing Illustrator files 2004-02-16 - By Maccus Limner
Back CS3 will only import AI version 8 files. I have Illustrator CS and have to convert all my 2d images to AI Legacy ver 8 files when I export them.
I do have to tweak them a bit, ie make sure the outlines are closed and I often scale them up in AI so I can make sense of what I'm seeing before I export, but beyond that, it's pretty easy. And the import is reliable and fast in my experience.
I hope I've been some help.
