OT: Need to make an 8k thumbnail 2004-02-15 - By Glen Allen
Back Hi Philip,
This shouldn't be hard.. I do it for my stuff using Corel PhotoPaint 10. The thumbs on my page are 3k jpg files. I just scale it down to the size I want - maybe my stuff isn't that busy, so it compresses well. Just checked - my thumbs are around 100 x 75. What command in PS are you using to do this? I have PS 6.01, but only at work - I don't use it all that much (I'm a programmer, not a graphic artist) :) The command in PhotoPaint is Resample.
If you're in a real bind, you can send me the file and I'll do it for ya.
Cheers,
Glen

Hi Peops,
This is completely off-topic but at this this community responds to questions.
I'm trying to upload some artwork to a CG site and they need an 8k (100x100 pixel) thumbnail and a 200x200 10k thumbnail - all in jpeg format. Now try as I might, I cannot take a piece of my work and get anywhere close to 8k without reducing the resolution to 5x5 pixels - even when using Photoshop CS and since I want to upload my Carrara work too, I could really do with some help.
Thanks in advance,
Philip
