Personally, I think both will still be used and needed. I like the idea of the
forum over email in the fact that everything is available and searchable in a
little more friendlier setting. Yahoogroups has the numbers and it's "connected
" to email.. making it responsive. FYI-You can "subscribe" to topics on 3dXtract
and receive emails on message replies.

As far as advertising... I will refuse banner ads because I simply promote our
community and education. I am more interested in providing educational
resources than advertising. Of course there is some advertising, but it's a
necessity to provide content and freebies from those advertisers (contests,
freebies, etc). It benefits the ezine and the community. I by no means wished
to divide the community, my intention was to offer an alternative that would
benefit all of us and keep it centralized. What if yahoogroups decided it wasn
't worth keeping around? Too much to maintain... advertising wasn't paying for
its maintenance?

Don't worry, if I die tomorrow the ezine will go on... It will be turned over
to anyone willing/able to continue it. Requirements Needed:Willing to work long
hours with no pay. Extensive knowledge of how to push deadlines. Must be able
to provide typos consistently and of course refer people to EOVIA when they
think you are "technical support"... :)

Thanks

Carl Desmond
