Carrara buggy after upgrading (Mac)

I have a Sonnet 1ghz G4 chip, a Radeon 7000 card  and 1gig ram in my
Blue & White
G3. I've noticed that Carrara is a little buggy since installing
them. Just finished an
18 hour render and when I tried to save the image the program hung up
and a forced
quit resulted in the whole system crashing (not supposed to happen
with OS X).
Rebooted fine.

I realize there are several variables here that need to be isolated
and evaluated, and
I'm checking out some system/hardware boards as well, but Carrara is
the only
program I've had any problems with since upgrading my system.
Wondering if anyone
has some insight into Carrara's compatibility issues, or with OS X in
general (10.2.8).
