On a side note, Bobbins wrote: "The lathe tool is only applicable to faces -
not vertices,
edges or whole objects."
Edges can be lathed- if they are curves that are lofted with a circular
curve. Open or closed curves work equally well.
Not sure what this has to do with shells, but I thought I'd mention it
anyway.
