Lathe and standalone deformation 2004-05-16 - By emmanuel asset
Back Hi all,
Thanks for all comments. I think I will go with Antony's suggestion. My aim is to design an acoustic horn. I have a program to build the straight horn in truespace but I am looking for a clean way to deform it.
Regarding the shell shape itself, we can build it with the lathe tool without scripts or plugins :
Select a face, right-clic the lathe tool, in the option panel set helix >0 and angle to 720, left-clic the lathe tool to build the shape, while the polygon edition is still active, clic the Point Scale icon, then press both left and right buttons and drag the mouse. Et voila.
Thanks again,
Emmanuel
