Thanks!

Do I sense a shader domain/layer faq building up here?

Andrew

In a message dated 2/11/2004 9:58:19 PM Eastern Standard Time,

When the shader tree comes up, change the very top
shader to "Complex Shaders:Layers List". You will see
"Multi Channel" under that but go down lower to the
"+" sign and change that to "Parametric Mapping."
When you  do that, it magically brings up all of the
shading domains you have established in the Vertex
Modeler.

Each shading domain can be created separately in
much the same way as you normally create them for
simpler objects.

Under each of the shading domains in the tree, there is
a "+" sign. You now have to decide whether you want
to create your own shader for each domain or use ones
you have stored in your Carrara browser (The tray on
the left side of your screen).
Some great info here, for all of us!  Thanks.  I use the layers, but am
constantly stumbling around in there.  You've clarified some of it for me
too.
